Registration Going On Now!
The Athens YMCA is a member of the
Greater Athens Football League. This league consists of 6 organizations, including the YMCA, Madison County, Oglethorpe County, Athens Christian, AYA, and Prince Ave. We provide consistent game rules, fair and GHSA certified referees, common age control date, and a fun, competitive environment for children to play football.
The YMCA provides transportation to all weekday, away games; and also provides financial assistance for anyone in need. Practice times are held during after school hours and transportation is offered from most all schools in Oconee County and the west side of Athens.
We stand true to our mission and vision regardless of competition, and plan to continue to development young men through the use of basic morals and values training set forth by previous directors of this program.
Tackle Football Information
Practice will begin August 9th. Season begins August 21st.
Midgets practice T,Th 3:30-5pm (ages 5-6)
Peewees practice M,W 3:30-5:30pm (ages 7-8)
Juniors practice T,Th 3:30-5:30pm (ages 9-10)
Seniors practice M,W 5-7pm (ages 11-12)
* ALL TEAMS PRACTICE 3:30-6PM ON FRIDAYS!
Fall 2010 Recreational Soccer
Registration for Fall 2010 rec. soccer will begin June 21. We will offer the following age groups:
U6--practices M,W with 5pm Wednesday games
U8--practices T,Th with 5:30pm Friday games
U10--practices M,W with Saturday games
U12--practices T,Th with Saturday games
U6-U10 practice times are 3:30-5. U12 practice time is 4:30-6.
Price:
U6--$70 for members/ $105 for non-members
U8-U12--$95 for members/ $140 for non-members
All prices include a uniform. Seasons are 13 weeks. Our prices are one time fees for 13 weeks.

Parent/Child Soccer
This program is designed to teach ages 2-4 basic motor skills and provide a simple understanding of soccer. Parents are required to participate.
Registration begins June 22. Program runs September 7-October 14, Mondays & Wednesdays. Program times are 4-4:45pm.
Prices: $30 members/$50 non-members
