2009 Annual Support Campaign
Your Athens YMCA organizes a yearly fundraising program that with the intent of raising dollars to help sustain the YMCA and help fund the YMCA's scholarship program.
The YMCA has an active/ongoing scholarship program for individuals or families based on income and the number of dependents in a family utilizing a sliding scale. The Athens YMCA is owned indirectly by the community and should be supported likewise. Without funding from the annual support campaign the Athens YMCA would not be able to operate, or would have to significantly reduce its services and program offerings.
Testimony
"The Athens YMCA has a lot of programs/assistance that would be very beneficial to my children. I am a single mother raising three boys. We have no family in the area. The children have very little contact with their father. The YMCA would offer a very nurturing environment for my children. The boys struggle without having a male figure in their lives. The coaches that I have met at the YMCA are phenomenal. They seem to take the time to both play with the children and listen to them. The YMCA would offer my children a safe/Christian environment to go to after school and on the weekends."

* This past year the Athens YMCA enabled 500 documented youth to participate in YMCA programs.
* Your gift of $90 provides an entire week of Summer Camp fun and friendship.
* Your gift of $129 pays for an annual youth facility membership.
* Your gift of $195 sends a child on a week of Travel Camp adventure.
* Your gift of $540 provides a week of lifelong memories at residence camp.
