The Athens YMCA turns 157 years old this month!
We were one of the first YMCAs in the nation. Now, with over 8,000 members and program participants, we're a big part of the Athens community. Our mission remains the same - to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday 4:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Child Watch Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The Athens YMCA is a non-profit, Christian based organization which has the unique opportunity to touch the lives of infants through seniors throughout the Athens, Georgia community.

The Athens YMCA is pleased to welcome new Youth and Athletics Directors Jacqueline Shirley and Gina Jackson. Jacqueline Shirley is a native of Gainesville, Georgia. She moved to Athens to attend the University of Georgia where she earned her BA in Spanish. She became involved in the Athens YMCA during college as a youth and summer camp staff member.
